Cheng-Min Peng, a baseball player. You may be wondering that there are so many people playing baseball, then why is he so special? You don’t need to be a baseball fan, if you’ve ever concerned about baseball in/of Taiwan, it may be impossible for you to not knowing who he is. Cheng-Min Peng, also called Cha-cha as his nickname, make be thought as one of the greatest baseball player in Taiwan.

Cha-cha has started playing baseball since he was in elementary school. And then, he never stops it. He kept winning a lot of games and awards in different ages. Until now, he is playing in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), and play for the Brother Elephant team. He is not only an outstanding player as usual; he is also the most representative player of his team as well as the whole league. Cha-cha has set up a lot of difficult record due to his awesome skills and performance. Moreover, he has kept winning the highest votes by fans in the all-star game of CPBL.

Except for CPBL, he is one of the most indispensible players of Chinese Taipei team. In the important international games such as Olympus or World Baseball Classic, he is always the first person to be invited. Cha-cha is like people’s hope, when you see him playing; it is like we are going to win the game. In history, he has made a lot of glory for Taiwan, and brought us a lot of victory and happiness.

 It is no doubt that how a great player he is, and how he has meant to the whole country. However, these are only part of the reason that made him somebody. Although he already has such great performance and reputation, he is very humble. He never stops improving himself so that he won’t let people supporting him down. Cha-cha behaves himself well and is very polite to everyone. I think a really great player is consisting of not only the outer skill, but also the well attitude. That’s why Cheng-Min Peng is the baseball player that I admire most.

Hello, dear teacher and classmates. My name is Peggy. I am a sophomore in the Department of Foreign Language Literature. I am from Chung Li, Taoyuan, which is a very cute city. And I graduated from Chung Li High School, a very beautiful campus with friendly teachers and students. There are four people in my family- father, mother, sister, and me. My father is working in architect industry; my mother is a public official, and my sister works as an assistant in a tech-company. I have a great and lovely family. We live happily, and we love each other so much.

I am an optimistic person, not only kind but also outgoing. I like to make friends with others. To be friends with different people, I can learn different things from them. Each people have their own personality, thought, interests, and so on, so it is really fun when you deal with friends. I’d learned things such as playing the piano, drawing, and calligraphy when I was young. However, I’ve quit them all no long after. So, there’s nothing I’m really good at now.

I am very enthusiastic in sports. I concern about many kinds of sport games, baseball and basketball especially. Besides watching ball games on TV, I enjoy going to the live game. I think sports have some special element that is just so attractive. I always have a great time when watching or learning sport games. So that is the thing I will do when I’m not in a good mood. And I like to play it when I have chance either.

I’m happy to be in the Department of Foreign Language Literature of NCHU. I am interested in English since I was young, so it has always be my goal to get into this department. In these four years, I hope I can efficiently improve my English ability in all aspects. Moreover, I hope I can learn at least one second language. It is not an easy job to study in this department. Hard work and perseverance is necessarily required. Therefore, I will try my best to learn more and act better. And it’s also important to work with others in the class, so hope we can all cooperate with each other pleasantly, and enjoy our classes happily together. It is really nice to meet everyone, hope we all have a great time in this department.
