describe an experience (draft 2)

Last year, we were freshman that just got in to a new environment, many things to learn and many things to adjust. At that time, the sophomores prepared a perfect welcome camp for us. They designed many interesting activities and games for us, so that we can not only have fun but also be more close to our classmates and to other members in our own department. It was a big thing that they had prepared for very long time, and we had a really fun and great time. However, after a year, we are in our sophomore year now. Therefore, it is our turn to take over this task.

In order to hold this welcome camp for the freshman, we began preparing since three months ago, and some of us even longer. We have to spare most of our free time learning dancing, short drama, singing, and so on, which is to perform for them. Moreover, a lot of art work should be done, from all the name cards (about 100) to some big posters of lyrics. Around 50 workers involved in this camp spent almost every weekend together, planning, practicing, and rehearsing. We complained about no time to go home, no time to study, no time to do our own thing. However, we still show up in every preparation, cause all we need is trying to make this camp more perfect, and all we want is hoping to make this camp more successful.

Finally, the day came. A cloudy morning, we all woke up so early, tired but excited. Then we took freshman to our destination, and got started. We lead them to do every activity we’ve planned, from playing games to watching shows; and took care of them in any aspect, from dinning to living. We used up all our energy play with them, run with them, and do our best to please them. We, as team leaders, were just like babysitters, keep worrying if they need to go to restroom, if they are thirsty, if everything is ok; we were also their friends to keep coming up with topics to talk to them which is to prevent them from feeling bored. Although our schedule had been out of order for some reason, and the sudden rain had mess up a little of our plan, that was not big deal. We finish the two day camp at last, successfully.

No matter how exhausted we were; no matter how much time and energy we had sacrificed, the moment you hear the freshmen say” the camp is great, is fun”; the moment they say thank you to you, all the efforts worth. We did it! That is what we’d be working so hard for, isn’t it? After the experience of holding this camp, we shared so much time and memory together, and slept together for one night, the relationship between the sophomores gets much closer. And we hold such a big activity all by ourselves successfully, that’s a really special experience that I will never forget.

describe a person (draft2)

Cheng-Min Peng, a baseball player. You may be wondering that there are so many people playing baseball, then why is he so special? You don’t need to be a baseball fan, if you’ve ever concerned about baseball in/of Taiwan, it may be impossible for you to not knowing who he is. Cheng-Min Peng, also called Cha-cha as his nickname, may be thought as one of the greatest baseball players in Taiwan.

Cheng-Min Peng is not famous for his appealing appearance. In fact, he is not handsome at all, with a pair of small eyes which has become his personal feature. Along with a friendly smile, the cute little eyes have thought to be the most charming part of him. Cha-cha has started playing baseball since he was in elementary school. And then, he never stops it. He kept winning a lot of games and awards in different ages. Until now, he is playing in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), and play for the Brother Elephant team. He is not only an outstanding player as usual; he is also the most representative player of his team as well as the whole league. Cha-cha has set up a lot of difficult record due to his awesome skills and performance. Moreover, he has kept winning the highest votes by fans in the annual all-star game of CPBL.

Except for CPBL, he is one of the most indispensible players of Chinese Taipei team. In the important international games such as Olympics or World Baseball Classic, he is always the first person to be invited. Cha-cha is like a hope of Taiwanese people, when you see him standing on the field, it is like we are going to win the game. Although he is not in a good health condition, he still does his best to win the game without any concern; although the team has fall behind, he never gives up but tries hard to encourage his teammates. In history, he has made a lot of glory for Taiwan, and brought us a lot of victory and happiness. And he is sure to keep playing this important role in the future. He is one of the heroes of baseball in Taiwan.

It is no doubt that how a great player he is, and how he has meant to the whole country. However, these are only part of the reason that made him somebody. Although he already has such great performance and reputation, he is very humble. He never stops improving himself so that he won’t let people supporting him down. Cha-cha behaves himself well and is very polite to everyone. Whenever he hits a homerun, he never raises his hands or yells out or other action like these which he thinks is impolite to the pitcher. I think a really great athletic is consisting of not only the outer skill, but also the well attitude. And he, Cheng-Min Peng, is just a good model among all. That’s why Cheng-Min Peng is the baseball player that I admire most.
